THE
EARLY YEARS
Ted has been involved in real estate since he was young, a result of
having a father who owns a residential construction and development
company. Throughout his middle school years, Ted was responsible for
the lawn care of his father's model homes; by high school he had
progressed to become part of the construction clean-up process, and in
the summer throughout college he was a carpenter on a framing
crew. Throughout the years working for his father, Ted got
his
hands dirty in many areas of the real estate business - including
negotiating, estimating and working with sub-contractors. Ted graduated
from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned BBA's in real
estate and finance. While at Wisconsin, Ted was enlightened to the
commercial side of real estate, and decided to pursue a career in the
commercial real estate industry. He started with Welsh Companies, www.welshco.com,
in 1999, and has earned the designation as the south metro industrial
real estate expert within the company.
THE APPROACH
Ted
attributes his success as an industrial broker to two things: excellent
relationships and solid performance. Ted believes that real estate is a
relationship-driven business, and prides himself on the ability to
treat clients with the utmost respect, while earning respect through
performance. No matter if the client requires 1,500 or 500,000 square
feet, Ted will provide the same level of service and attention to
detail for each client. It is this approach that has helped Ted
establish great relationships; he encourages potential clients to
contact his references and review his transactions history as proof
positive of the commitment and performance that he provides.

MARKET
KNOWLEDGE
Ted's ability to provide a high level of performance is based upon
superior market knowledge, which translates to more deals with less
risk. Ted maintains a comprehensive database of salient information on
companies throughout the southeast, and has created an aerial map
system that is linked with the database. These tools enable Ted to
"see" all of the deals within the southeast so that he can provide the
most accurate and up-to-date information to tenants/landlords and
buyers/sellers alike. Using these methods, Ted has completed 420
transactions totaling over 8.5 million square feet with a total
consideration of nearly $274 million since January of 2001.
INDUSTRY CONNECTIONS
Ted is a licensed real estate agent in the State of Minnesota, and he
is a member of both the Minnesota Commercial Association of Realtors
(MNCAR) and the National Association of Industrial and Office
Properties (NAIOP). Ted has also earned his CCIM & SIOR
designations. In addition, Ted maintains a solid connection with a
national group of University of Wisconsin-Madison graduates, who are
